Matt Thomas did a demo of the Luthara (just below here). He's an incredible player, creative composer, and engaging performer. For his demos he uses the best mic in the world—extremely sensitive—picking up all the guitar's nuances. The EQ in this recording is flat, so there is a faithful reproduction of the actual timbre of the instrument. This video is best listened to on good speakers. There's an interesting symbiosis between a handmade guitar and a player like Matt. It's pretty obvious when you hear the timbre of the guitar drawn out to its optimal level by a seasoned touch. Matt's won several national finger-picking competitions, demoed in national conventions, and played many of the best boutique guitars in the world.
