Built from a solid piece of Brazilian rosewood in 1985, the design was created to accommodate the original billet, which was around eighteen inches longer than the guitar. and only as wide as the center section. To build the body, that section was cut off and divided into two wedges, which were then laminated above and below the parallel veneer lines.
